Nebraska Volleyball Team Receives Ovation from Record-Setting Crowd
The University of Nebraska held its annual Volleyball Day on Saturday, drawing a record-setting crowd of 8,342 fans to the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The event featured a scrimmage between the Huskers and the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Nebraska won the scrimmage in three sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-19).
Husker Volleyball Team Honored
During the event, the Nebraska volleyball team was honored for its success in the 2022 season.
The Huskers finished the season with a 28-5 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament regional semifinals.
Nebraska was ranked No. 4 in the final AVCA Coaches Poll.
Husker Volleyball Team Moving Forward
After a rocky offseason, Nebraska volleyball is eager to move forward.
The Huskers lost three starters from last year's team, including All-American setter Nicklin Hames.
However, Nebraska has a talented group of returning players and newcomers who are ready to step up.
Husker Volleyball Team Veterans to Represent at Team USA Tryouts
A pair of Nebraska volleyball veterans will represent the Huskers at the Team USA tryouts this summer.
Senior libero Lexi Rodriguez and junior outside hitter Madi Kubik were both invited to the tryouts.
Rodriguez and Kubik are two of the most decorated players in Nebraska volleyball history.
