Emma Hayes Unveils Team for Paris Games

CHICAGO, June 26, 2024 US Women's National Team head coach Emma Hayes has announced the 18-player roster plus four alternates for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The team will look to redeem itself after a disappointing performance at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, where they failed to qualify for the semifinals for the first time since 2000.

The roster features several experienced players, including Alex Morgan, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Megan Rapinoe. There are also some exciting newcomers, such as Mallory Pugh and Catarina Macario.

Hayes said she is confident in the team's ability to compete for a medal in Paris.

"We have a good mix of experience and youth on this team," Hayes said. "I believe we have the talent and the determination to succeed at the highest level."

The team will begin training in July and will play several exhibition matches before the Olympics begin in August.
