Starmer under fire over Israel stance

Labour leader faces criticism from some members and MPs

Keir Starmer has suffered a major rebellion over his stance on the Israel-Gaza war, with 56 of his MPs voting against the government in a Commons debate.

The Labour leader has been accused of worsening anti-Semitism by threatening an arms embargo on Israel, and of failing to call for a ceasefire.
